Letter Rush was a group project for my Bachelor’s degree, where we were given the goal of developing a short game in Unity and building and connecting an Arduino controller to play the game. The project theme was ‘Mailing.’ With that theme in mind, we brainstormed gameplay ideas that would combine different Arduino system capabilities. In the end, we chose to make a game where the player controls a mailing card running down the road, trying to dodge traffic to reach its address. For the controller, we used an accelerometer that reads the X and Y axes, allowing the player to tilt the controller to dodge obstacles.
